Team Margarito Discuss Mosley, Paul Williams Rematch

The main point...Is Mosley more know than Margarito? Hell yes he is. Do all the people that know him buy his PPV fights or go to his fights? Hell no. Does Margarito pull in more people to his events than Mosley? Hell yes. Mosley is a legend, i mean take a look at his resume. But lets face it, the guy has never been a big draw. Margarito-Cotto had more buys than Cotto-Mosley. Why should Margarito say "Ok yea ill take the 50-50 and help Golden Boy Promotions and Mosley make more money."Forget that Margarito did the right thing. Im upset that we wont get to watch this fight but blame that on Golden Boy and Mosley the rich mofos of the sport, not Margarito that just got to the top and is just trying to get some good retirement money before he exits the sport.

i understand your disdain for Oscar, but what does that have to do with Shane? GBP wasnt the only ones going to make money. This would have been co-promoted by Top Rank and GBP along with HBO. In the end, GBP is STILL going to make money, so the only person not getting paid here is Margarito and Arum.
Did Margarito even go back to Shane and say 50/50 was too much? Nope, HE is the one that made all the proposals that Arum took back to Shane and Shane agreed to the terms. It was MARGARITO who proposed 50/50, not the other way around.

Hahaha internet offer?? It's funny so many people eat up Margarito's manager's words and take it as gospel. Goossen has been saying publicly for months he made the offer of 4M. Bob Arum ALREADY SPOKE ABOUT THIS ON THE RECORD. To paraphrase "I don't care if it's 4M, 10M, or 20M, none of my fighters are in the Paul Williams business." Blaming it on Haymon.
Now months later Margarito's manager says "yeah, well uhh...Bob says there was no formal offer." And everybody is like SEE I KNEW IT. DAMN WILLIAMS AND HIS LIES.
Williams is willing to fight Pavlik at 160 but Margarito is overpricing himself against an old Mosley. Williams would take the fight for a 40 split and mop the floor with Mosley. Margarito was a draw for that ESPN PPV?? Hahaha okay. Margarito has basically had one huge fight his whole career, and that was because Cotto made it. Is his plan to only fight Cotto the rest of his career?? He won't take a career high pay day for Williams, and now he won't fight Clottey or Mosley because he doesn't like the "respect" he's getting at the negotiating table. NEWS FLASH Margarito, you only became known after the Cotto fight. You're far from a star, you can't speak English, you have no charisma, and no PPV track record. I hear Golden Johnson is looking for a rematch.

Oh by the way, I see people claiming Margarito is a bigger star because his fight vs Cotto did more PPV buys apparently then the Mosley fight. Did anybody ever stop to think it was the Mosley fight that made him such a huge star with even more hype then he previously had from the Judah and Quintana fights?? Cotto's hype and star growing is the reason the Margarito fight apparently did more buys. Margarito is a nobody to the main****** with his only win being over Cotto in the public eye. The Cintron fights people couldn't care less about because nobody knows Cintron either.
Which is why despite the fact Williams already beat him a lot of main****** fans don't know Paul or about the fight, therefore no public support for the rematch. Common sense.
