Margarito Says Mosley Balk is De La Hoya Payback

Dont compare Hopkins to what Margarito was doing. Hopkins refused to be bound to a slave contract with a promoter. So he was blackballed by said promoters although he was the champion. Margarito is acting like a diva. What Hopkins did landed him a fight and a partnership with with the Golden goose. Margarito's action wont even get him a paid sparring parnter assignment.

wow, you are such a boxing guru. You probably never boxed a round in your life. Anyway, granted as Andre Ward (my favorite boxer) said, boxing is a business and the goal to him is to make the most money possible and fight the highest prizes, just b/c Margarito HAS the belt, how does it make him worthy of picking and choosing. Calzaghe has proven himself again and again, which is why he is sought after for money fights constantly now... Glen Johnson, Hopkins, Chad Dawson, and Jermaine Taylor are gunning for not just his title or the money, but his legacy. Soooo... if I am wrong, I believe a fighter's legacy, pride, and fan base are just as important if not more so then the money in a given fight. With that said, unless the fighter is a total business man, he should take a fight agst mosley. I think you are just one of those fans who are cushioning Marg's fall. Great fighter or not, he lost a potential fan here b/c of his business decision this past week. And disappearing too, does jones and hopkins hide from their promoters and fans? Is he not the most sought out light heavy weight now? Did he not just beat Lacy, Hopkins, and Jones? Yes jones was old, but how many fighters could have dismantled him so well like he did. I am not a calzaghe fan, but he at least won me over somewhat with his last performance. He also is like #2 in Ring Magazine's P4P list, sooo I think Ring Magazine holds a little more weight than webposters on this forum :-p. tho gg2 might disagree .
