HIs FIRST fight w/ SANTOS was at 147 and it was stopped premature by a head butt cut and guess what???? Santos was ranked top ten at WW...

Ok, I give you the fact they were top 10 WW. But the list isnt impressive. Sounds like the LHW division back in RJJs heyday, or the middleweight division when Hopkins was king.

Damn I miss those good old days in boxing when fighters would go after the Champion, not the bigger draw, and as the champ you could accept whoever's challenge you deemed worthy. Cotto was a great champ with alot of heart but Margarito exposed him, the rematch will be the same except it'll be over in 6. Mosley should accept that he lost his last fight
against a top-notch opponent(whom Margarito already beat) and that he doesn't deserve a 50\50 split. As champion Margarito understands that he holds the most important card, so why should he just accept whatever is thrown in front of him as if he was still looking for his recognition, he's got it already.

First what you said is irrelevat for what my post is inteded to say. And second will see june 09, if Margarito is KOing Cotto in 6!!!!!

lets not forget that he has a couple of mandatories out there...that will take care of the ring rust, and collazo would be a respectable matchup. the $ wont be the same, but margo wont be submitting to gbp's bull**** 50/50 split. i just came back from the mexican forums and they all down with margos decision...it would have been good to watch...but theres something personal in this matter with margo & gbp.

marg cannot use his mexican pride as an excuse because he has none... he absolutely will not attempt to avenge his loss to pwill, a very un-mexican thing to do.

All he has left is money, and if he fights for less than $2 mill he'll look like an idiot.

marg style is not one that will last... he thinks he can be indestructible for ever... he needs to get over that and make money while the getting is good. Marg isnt make any money not fighting.

Well first of all you dont have to be a Puertorrican to be a Cotto fan.

trust me it was 8-2 at least in margarito's favor that night.

And if the fight would off been in NY, you would off have more Cotto fans than Margarito fans. .

that was the point in putting the fight in vegas since cotto is only a new york fighter he has no following anywhere else and the margarito fight proved that.

Second Lets put Berto against Margarito in California and Cotto vs Berto in New York and see who sell the most!!!!!.

Don't get to excited remember when cotto vs gomez was in the east coast? he couldn't even sell that out!! and on top of that brought the second worst HBO Ratings ever!!!! Margarito brough a record attendance to the home depot center when he wasn't as big as he is now and fought someone no one knew in paul williams.

Hey ******, I didnt say he never fought top 10 welterweights. I said NAME them. You ask your most casual boxing fan who those people are and NOBODY besides a Margarito NUTHUGGER would know who they are.
