no one will give him much credit, nor should they. thats why i am glad this fight is not happening. shane has done nothing to earn a title shot. tony needs to fight clottey, will, berto.

These are the facts.

Shane is 37 years old and past his prime.
He hasn't had an overly impressive win in years. He did what he was expected to do in most cases with the Mayorga knockout being a bit of a surprise.
He has a history of trouble with taller fighters.
Margarito is definitely in his prime at 30.
His style and size proved to be too much for a much fresher Cotto who tried to be elusive.
Shane fights like a controlled madman, not a stylist, but a fighter who likes to stand and trade.
Margarito loves to stand and trade, especially with a smaller foe.

So, if Tony were to beat Shane Mosley, would you give him credit for beating the aged vet or would you make excuses as to what Shane would have done in his prime?

Margarito is just a very limited fighter...I have said that from day 1.
he has heart, but he will never beat a fast skilled boxer..

Is probably the most hyped Limited fighter I ever seen.

He doesn't have a jab
He doesn't have a Upper Cut
He doesn't have any defense.

He is the ultimate Walk forward fighter. He is good at applying pressure and throwing punches where he can hit.

He is not fast
He is not smart fighter in which he relies on tactics to win a fight.


Margarito is an ALL OUT Brawler... He is bent on getting in the ring and throwing punches in regardless of Defense.

He is truly a The Boxing Definition of a "Pitbull" He is going for kill right away with no re-guard for the others persons abilities.

And Part of me like that about him..

But also That's why he lost to Slick Black Fighters like Rodney Jones,and Larry Dixon. They beat him because they did not stand there and just throw punches. They moved and boxed him. Just Like Paul Williams did.

Margarito has trouble with Movement, and speed.

Margarito is a fighter in which you can not fight his fight and expect to win unless you are stronger and bigger than him and cotto is none.!

If a fighter does decides to do that,

It Means they have abanded all strategy and decided to limited themselves too just throwing Punches....

With Knowing all these things about Margarito, It is obvious that.

Margarito cant win this fight. Cotto can Lose it.

If Cotto Loses this fight. He risk the chances of turning into Fernando Vargas Overnight
