He doesn't have to. He will wear him down at the start/middle with his superior boxing ability and then be able to take him down in the later rounds. I mean, was Floyd ever going to knock Ricky out in the first 5 rounds? Of course not, and obviously Floyd isn't a huge puncher. Now, I'm not saying Malignaggi is equal to Floyd in boxing ability, but he doesn't need to be because Hatton's defence is non-existent, regardless of how much he's been working on it with Floyd Sr. There's only so much you can teach a man at this stage of his career.
