If you had to give ONE reason why PACMAN is ahead of JOE on the P4P List

C'mon, reed.
Don't play dumb, even I started watching boxing just 2-2.5 years ago and it's obvious.
First off, you're pointing out the losses. Okay, Joe hasn't lost a fight, that's a very good feat, especially the fact that he's just a hair away from 50 wins, and a decent KO percentage to boot.
Now, Manny has 3 losses (if I'm not mistaken). Two of them were early in his career, and one of them was a considered a knockout loss (when it shows that the blow was below the belt...FACT). His latest loss came against who? Erik Morales and that was nearly four years ago. He then avenged that loss in the best way possible: by knocking him out. No one had stopped Morales, and he did. Then knocked him out again in the rubber match, in fewer rounds. Pacquiao took on Barrera twice, knocked him out and then beat him in a rematch years later. He beat Márquez in their rematch and would've edged it out in the first fight if the judge hadn't scored it incorrectly. Pacquiao took on the best in (or near) his weight class for years and won decisively. Moving up in weight class by still proving he had that same speed and power proved that he can still be dominant.
While Joe Calzaghe is unbeaten, people will always discredit him either because:
a-) He's ****y (can't believe all crybabies that popped up when he showboated against Jones, Jones did it all the time)
b-) He's English (Pacquiao's a Filipino, what's your point?)
c-) He doesn't punch correctly (but if they land flush, and they hurt and they cut...they're effective)
d-) He hasn't fought real competition (this is ridiculous! He fought Hopkins and Jones. If EVERYONE-or mostly everyone- had said "Joe is going to win easily!" when the fight was signed, then you had the right to complain, but the fact of the matter is people gave Hopkins and Jones a legitimate chance to win, and they THOUGHT Hopkins or Jones would win and I was one of them (well, at least with Hopkins) and Calzaghe has proved me wrong so many times and he has shown that he has stamina, accuracy, power, chin...he is for real.)
But where was I? Joe Calzaghe, as much as he's done to beat unbeaten fighters, American legends and decent competition, he'll have to do something unbelievable to climb that last wrung of the ladder to be #1 instead of number #2. Pacquiao's advantage over Joe is that he wins spectacularly, while Joe does it less convincingly. Well, he dominates fights, but he doesn't win in impressive manner as Pacquiao, nor has he campaigned ambitiously as Pacquiao (who took on the creme of the crop in his division and blew them out of the water!). If Manny beats Oscar, which he might not, he'll just shut Joe out and Pacquiao will be unquestionably the best the sport has to offer.Comment

Because Pac has more wins against better competition than Joe, although only by a hair. It is really very close IMO.Comment

If you ask me, Calzaghe should be ahead of Marquez at #2.
But the one, singular reason I can think of that is the most compelling, is that by most accounts, Pacquiao's biggest win over Marquez was a close win over a higher ranked opponent than Calzaghe's best win over Hopkins, which was also a close win.Comment
