The best may fight the best more in MMA but that doesn't **** when the fights are boring as ****.

UFC = WWE without the script.

yes, go to ufc. They need WWE wrestlers to keep people excited.

I would be ashamed that a wee wrestler is the champion in my sport

I never thought i would say it but ive gone to MMA where the best fight the best. Where having a 0 doesnt mean much and all the best fighters have been beat because they dont fight bums to protect themselves. I enjoy the hype and the personalities such as BJ Penn and Rampage Jackson. I thought it was just men rolling around on the floor but now i know the skill involved.

RIP BOXING (i will still always love you)

MMA is more than UFC: You have Fedor out there, and under the Heavyweight division even in UFC, there is talent.

Boxing is largely boring except when certain fighters get together. ESPN, Friday Night Fights is 90% boring as well as many other fights you find on Showtime and HBO. This is why I find myself watching fights alone and not with friends and family like they did back in the day.

MMA has this too, but when you have two guys in there wanting to make a statement in knocking someone out, it makes the difference...they are trying to make a Name for themselves and make that money when a lot of boxers I watch are just trying to survive.

That's why you have some of these "Old Timers" complain about boxing today and why Gatti and Ward were hailed even though they weren't elite level fighters (like Mayweather).

It's the same with Floyd towards the end of his career when many fans said he was "boring" or Hopkins in the past 8 years: before the move to 147, Floyd was exciting. He wanted to win every round and make sure you knew who the winner was...but after the move, pot shot, cover up, pot shot, cover up...safe victory...same with Hopkins except he liked to clinch. I understand why they would change their style, more so Hopkins since he was getting old...but, people want excitement to keep their eyes open. It's why Tyson was big for a long time despite peaking with Spinks.

Watch the right fights, fighters, and understand the sport; it might not be so boring.

Baseball is huge in America, but many around the World would rather watch grass grow...and the same with the Americans towards "Soccer."
