Ive Given Up On The Sport I Love

Ive had enough of boxing i have boxed and watched it since i was a kid but i think its truely awful now. Im sick of shockingly mismatched freakshow catch weight fights such as Jones Jr v Trinidad and DLH v Manny. Im sick of the best not fighting the best. Im sick of people trying to keep their 0. Im sick of the lack of personalities and when you get one they are hated. Im sick of the heavyweights and certainly dont want to see David Haye win a belt in such a **** division. Im sick of home town advantages and ****** olympic scoring.
I never thought i would say it but ive gone to MMA where the best fight the best. Where having a 0 doesnt mean much and all the best fighters have been beat because they dont fight bums to protect themselves. I enjoy the hype and the personalities such as BJ Penn and Rampage Jackson. I thought it was just men rolling around on the floor but now i know the skill involved.

RIP BOXING (i will still always love you)

You Guys are missing the point: Fighters in other combat sports go after the best and make the fights happen. There are a lot of tournaments that make sure of it. The Fighters are getting paid less money, so it helps prevent being spoiled, so they have to keep fighting more and going after the best to make that money.

You are only helping excuse what many boxers are doing which is trying to make the most money for the least possible risk...which is smart business, but shows a lack of respect to the fans who don't care about business/money and want to see the best fight the best for the sake of competition, excitement, and Nature.

They should be willing to go after the best; they should be more like Shane Mosley.

The hate for MMA here is unreal and it only shows ignorance and insecurity to dismiss it as some novelty sport.

85% of the fights I watch are boxing, but I don't dismiss MMA.
