I know it's typical to think Wlad has more 1 punch power but I beg to differ. You see it only looks that way because Wlad almost always throws normal textbook power shots when he does throw a power shot. So it LOOKS powerful because his shots are explosive. However the problem is that Vitali 90% of the time throws nothing but weak ARM PUNCHES and yet he still is brutally KO'ing his opponents with them and has the highest KO percentage in the history of heavyweight boxing (or possibly in any division ever). And the few times that you can see Vitali actually put his entire weight into a punch it is DEVASTATING. I think he did it in possibly the last knockdown against Danny Williams and sent him through the ropes.
Vitali with his ARM punches is competing with Wlad's power from Wlad's straightest most fiercesome power shots, but when Vitali throws an actual power shot with full body leverage then I think it's on another level.

Despite having a slightly less KO % I still gotta give the edge to Foreman though....76-5 record with 68(!!!!) KO's is monstrous considering he fought alot of top competition and STILL racked up that many KO's. Foreman is truly a BEAST but Vitali would still brutally KO him.

he has no technique in his style.
can you be a big puncher, and at the same time lack technique?

He has 35 KO's in 36 wins for a 97.2% KO percentage. Does that answer your question?

              Mac Foster had 30 wins, 30 KO's
              LaMar Clark had 44 wins, 43 KO's
              Billy Fox had 48 wins, 47 KO's

Statistics don't mean as much as what's actually happened in the ring, and from what I've seen Wladimir has greater one punch KO power than Vitali does.

Vitali is a more aggressive fighter though which is why he tends to finish his opponents more often than Wladimir. Don't forget that before losing to Brewster and Sanders, Wladimir had 40 KO's out of 42 wins.

                it's "gone" not "went"

and don't let the KO pct fool you, what's the best name on his resume? A loss to an old, undertrained, fat, Lennox Lewis.

I think Wlad hits harder but Vitali is very very good and very accurate with his punches. I think Vitali's stamina is better than Wlads so he lands more....

you make a good point in your arm punches vs textbook punches argument.

Very good point about the aggression. Again I think it comes from his conditioning and chin two things that Wlad doesn't have in comparison to him.
