and you know the fact that Mayweather pretty much was chasing the De La Hoya fight and was going to make much more for that and Margarito has no one else to fight and isn't going to make more then 2 million except for a Cotto rematch which isn't happening right away. Not to mention Baldomir was worth more at the time of Nov. 2006 anyway and was offering him just as much money as Margarito. That and Mayweather hated Arum

No it wasn't. The 8 million offer was in like May 2006. It wasn't sure if De La Hoya was going to take the rest of the year off and Mayweather couldn't fight in august because of his hand. That and Baldomir was the undisputed champ.
