Not to mention, back in that day, they let those fighters damn near kill each other. So, if there was ever a time period in looking for an "edge," it was then. I don't like dirty, but dirty is there in the fight business.
What do you think about tactics like this?

you idiot, hopkins didnt build a career off fighting dirty, no one can, thats ****ing impossible, you need to have other skills or attributes besides that.....hopkins built a career with his boxing brain and accurate punching among other things

What about slappy, can't punch hard and fast, so tries to cause tko by throwing wild slaps, another form of cheating.Comment

Louis is blatantly cheating in that picture, by attempting to injure Rocky's elbows with a sneaky headbutt.
I have always liked aggressive, hard-punching boxers, but I dislike those who lead with the head, or follow through with the elbow, or throw hip shots on the blindside of the referee (although that isn't as bad as the other two).
I recognise that many of the most exciting fighters of all time did things like this, but it's still something that I'm not keen on.
I particularly dislike the above photo because Louis was apparently Marciano's favourite boxer, and someone he had a lot of respect for, yet he still did that to him. The fact that Louis was old and past his best makes it even worse IMO.Comment
