Vitali Klitschko: "David Haye Needs Two More Fights"

WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko was impressed with David Haye's fifth round stoppage of Monte Barrett. He sat ringside at the O2 Arena in London and watched Haye drop Barrett five times before the fight was stopped. He feels Haye has the necessary tools become successful heavyweight, but still needs at least two more fights to prepare himself for a world title bout. Haye would like to fight Vitali or his younger brother Wladimir, who holds the IBF/WBO titles. [details]

That's fair enough, Vitali strikes me as a good guy. I hope he's not just saying this though and then never give Haye a shot. But anyways it's good news for Haye because he will get KO'ed by Vitali, so hopefully this means he gets Wlad first.

He's right, but he shouldn't be calling out Lewis at all

I'm a Haye fan, win or lose, but I agree with Vitali about Haye needing two more fights. Both Klitschko brothers have about twice the experience and I think Haye needs to prove to more people he can be a force at heavyweight. I'd like to see him against Chambers and maybe Brewster next. Those are quality opponents that could prove his worth at heavy

I agree, he should have 2 more fights so Vitali doesn't kill Haye's career so early.

I find it funny...Haye wanted Wlad so bad because its a big money fight and he actually has a chance in the early rounds. He didnt expected his bigger and tougher brother to come back from the dead and actually look like his former self against Peter. And now after his first fight in the HW he finds Vitaly smiling at him and saying "Hey...you looked good, you say you are the best, you say you want Clitchko, let me finish my next fight and you can fight me my friend!". LOL Looking at Haye, he just won his fight, he had Vitaly next to him and cameras on him, he cannot say anything else that "Lets get it on! You or your brother its ok!" While his smile was getting smaller and his eyes had a funny expression. Maybe its just me, but he wasnt expecting to fight Vitali and now, after all his trash talking about the actual HW status, he just cant say no!

I don't think he cares tbh. He will take on either of them.
