Actually Evan Fields + Vitali + Tua are the only reason why Lennox' record is better. But the win over Vitali was unsatisfying, Tua is nearly forgotten and Evan Fields is not enough to keep Lennox on #1 forever, since Wlad had so much more fights and so much more KOs.

Wlads best opponent was Sam Peter, and he has just as many losses (3) as Michael Grant and David Tua have now(Opponents Lewis defeated 10 years ago.) Lewis Ko'd Rahman in a much quicker fashion in 2001 than Wlad did in 2008. The accolades of Lewis's opponents are much better than that of Wlad's overall.

Lewis has no need to come back. His resume' will be hard to top.

No, Lennox is better in competition (because of Tua, Evan Fields and Vitali). But not in overall record. He cannot be better because he won only 40 heavyweight fights.

Let me also add that in the history of boxing there is noone (with 50+ heavyweight fights) who has less unavenged losses than Klitschko, except Valuev, Brian Nielson (no wonder he fought bums mainly), Dempsey (not a real heavyweight) and Marciano (also not a heavyweight).

Thus NOBODY has a better unavenged loss statistic than Klitschko, except Valuev.

Sure if you fight only 42 times (like Lennox) and get a gift-rematch (against MCall) then you manage to have 0 unavenged losses. But that's completely irrelevant for the Hall of Fame. Otherwise Ezzard Charles (15 unavenged losses) or Archie Moore (10) or Sugar Ray Robinson (11) could never make it.

This unavenged business is worthless as a greatness measurement.
