Let me debunk the Eubank win

Eubank was past his prime when Calzaghe got to him. He was 4-2 when he fought Calzaghe. Eubank took the fight at short notice. He was planning to fight at 175. Just to make 168, Eubank entered a 2 week weight draining regime just to make weight. He never won a fight again. Eubank wasn't even a good win.

Same thing applies to RJJ. Tarver and Johnson disposed of RJJ better than Calzaghe could. Hopkins win is debatable
You really have to be determined to "debunk" every great win Calzaghe ever had. Too determined. It betrays a bias going in. Excuses can be made to explain away just about anything. I mean, I could go on all night about the fraud that Mayweather has perpetrated on the sport of boxing. How's Calzaghe any different? Lacy, Kessler, Hopkins, and Jones, Jr. That was a defining run.

I think you're on to something if I'm reading your post accurately. It took a long time to get past the cherry picking and see Mayweather in the light that he probably deserves. He is great. But, when I do that..........the same logic must apply to Calzaghe. From this perspective Calzaghe really is one of the ATGs.

what are you talking about, he stayed undefeated with one draw. You Calzslappy huggers are ridiculous. Obsessive fans of any fighter are terrible.

What the....? Ok. No. He is not even the greatest of this era, or decade. That's like the Sr saying he is the greatest trainer of all time with only his son as his only justification. Good luck to you. Hope you could sway more people to your cause.

Statistically, not perfect. But, if you want to believe the Lopez was the GOAT....fine with me!

Thanks, but I'm not trying to sway anybody anywhere. This thread is about intellectual honesty.

If you objectively believe that Floyd is up for consideration as the GOAT, then you must put Calzaghe in there too. IF you want to get picky.....Calzaghe has more wins against much more threatening opponents (bigger....hit harder). Go figure.

Calzahghe is 4 weight classes higher than Floyd dude. If you believe Floyd is the GOAT that's still loads better than thinking Joe is. What you fail to see is that Floyd has a much much much better career with far far greater talent than Calzaghe's career could ever dream of.
