I thought he was unsettled in the Barrett fight but you could say that in a lot of his fights.
He isn't normally a sloppy fighter, it looked that way against Barrett but it all his other fights he rarely clinches throws clean hard punches etc.

I've seen him in a few fights and what I don't like is that he leans forward at the waist and tries to do a Roy Jones impression. Only Roy Jones can get away with that. He seems pretty open down the middle, though he moves his head well.

I just don't see those accurate straight punches that I like seeing from technical boxers. He throws his right hand with and arc, almost like Earnie Shavers or Jermain Taylor.

I'd also like to see him use more uppercuts inside.

My biggest gripe is his defense, his hands are just to low IMO.
did you see the right hook he tired to land on Enzo he almost fell through the ropes, what it is he takes ages to turn and get set for another punch when he misses he take to long twist his body into postion to throw his next shot imo

allthough i supose this could tie in with poor balance as other have pointed out

He does have poor balance, he was off balance in the first 10 seconds of the Enzo fight. His agility IMO is actually one of the best at HW, so few HW's move there feet other than to plod forward.

i think the reason he leans in like that is he tries to draw the jab to land the overhand right hand allthough i must admit i dont like it either he does not have the reflexes of a Jones or a PBF who also used to do it

Although he may not really need amazing reflexes for MOST of the HW's out there because there often quite slow and he has the power to take pretty much anyone (apart from Vitali IMO) out

Barrett has a lot of heart and skill, but his problem is he sometimes doesn't come in with a game plan. Against Haye his game plan was to exchange shots and try to beat him to the punch. It didn't work.
