Getting hit with an uppercut does not mean you were close calling a knockout.

Roy did not compete with Joe.

Joe did wipe the floor with Roy.

Joe landed more than 10-15 punches. Ridiculous assesment.

How can you "barely cut" someone? You either do or you dont. Roys eye was a bloody mess and couldve been stopped on the cut.

Roy was hurt several times and couldve been stopped. Joe carried him in the last couple of rounds.

Joe was only hurt by a forearm smash.

The fight was as one sided as you can get.

Prime for prime, Joe still gives Roy big trouble.
        True.

I don't get all the "Calzaghe is in his prime" at almost 37. Joe is still a great fighter but he's no way near as fast and explosive as he was in his prime.

I still see a lot of defensive flaws. He'll still get hit by the left hook a lot

When Ricky dies, I'm almost 90% certain that he'll go to hell.

Also what ****ing difference does drinking out of training make? It's just like eatting something unhealthy (Loads of boxers do, look at Mayweather he eats sweets and all sorts) It's just because alcohol has that stigma.

He's never missed weight, He has great stamina, He's 44-1. Let him do what he ****ing wants.

Not bad shape for someone who has drinking comps during training.

Forearm smash? Looked like the bottom of the glove landed to me and no skin. That's legal in my book. The ref called the KD , Joe was hurt and admitted it, so move on from there.

The KD i called and the uppercut Roy landed in 6 would have KO'd anybody else in the division, in my opinion. He landed the exact punch I predicted in the same round , so I consider that pretty close. I will admitt that Calzaghe has an exceptional chin. Knockout proof chin? No, nobody has one, but Joe's chin is as good as they get.

Did'nt compete? The hell you say. He landed more punches than Hokins did, who everyone thought fought to a tie or beat Joe. Jones is a warrior and elected to battle rather than tie up Calzaghe for 12 rounds and fake low blows. Roy was never hurt in that fight and was caught with very few clean head shots. Sure he cut, but that was caused by a well placed jab on a swollen eye, caused by partially blocked shots. In that situation, he should not have made the final bell and Calzaghe couldn't get the job done even then. That shows how special Roy Jones is. He can take the #3 P4P fighter in the world to a decision and drop him even with a severely bleeding eye while being 39 and over the "boxing" hill.

I'm nowhere close to being a bandwagon jumper and you should know that. Calzaghe would have been tough to deal with by most anyone, but would have been beaten badly had he fought Jones in his prime. If old Jones lands allot and drops Joe, the prime Jones TKO's him. -Peace

See the Lazcano fight? His lifestyle may be catching up with him. And Floyd doesn't eat a lot of junk....and never, or very rarely drink
