you know what they say about beer. It had carbs and all that *****. *yuk-yuk*
His record speaks for himself 44-1. So regardless whatever it is he does during camp, it's working for him.
As outsiders i think we have no idea what we're talking about, cus we're not there. That's journalistic propaganda.Comment

Ricky used to be my favourite fighter until he lost last year
tisk tisk bandwagon fan... bet you WERE a cotto fan and a pavlik fan to...
But really who gives a f.uck if ricky does or doesnt have a few drinks while hes in camp, if he does and no one said anything about it you wouldnt know so you wouldnt be complaining so chill out... Hes 44-1 chances are if he drank during this camp hes drank during all of his previous 45 camps and still managed to win 44 of them and his only loss is to Floyd, and incase you didnt know Floyds good, get over it people its not a big deal he'll survive to see Paulie win on the cards trust me. Also thats why Hattons one of my favorites, hes just a regualr dude who happens to be a beast ass fighter.

Dedication is not a on and off again thing. You either are or you aren't. This is why Hatton will never be more then he is or was. I don't begrudge him his choice to put his personal life first. I would do the same thing. But on the other hand lets not make excuses. This is not what greatness is made of.LOL, He's NEVER drank during camp, that comment that the end must have been said in jest as if you've seen interviews with him before he's all 'I wouldn't ouch a drop during training, what's the point when i'm eatting ****ing pasta and slads for 3months!'
He's one of the most dedicated athletes during training. Outside i wish he'd tone it down but oh well.Comment

Ricky's got his entire life after boxing to drink.
He should quit for now and then he can go back to it soon. He claims he's going to retire soon anyway, so what's the big deal of going a year or two without a drink?
In my opinion, it's OK to drink, but Hatton seems like he may go a bit overboard when he's not in training. Instead of downing 20 beers, why not have one or two?
It would leave him in better shape - in body and mind - when it comes time to go back to training camp.
I quit three and a half years ago and the one word I would use to describe a life without drinking is 'clarity'.Last edited by TKO Tom; 11-17-2008, 11:31 AM.Comment

I think Rickys drinking is a vicious circle. he got so popular off being one of the lads having a pint that nowadays when he goes out he's probably offered drinks right left and centre, and being the gentleman and a northerner he finds them drinks hard to turn down.Comment
