Am I the only one who thinks Kellerman is fantastic, and rapidly becoming the best member of the HBO team?
Merchant used to be tremendous, and still is pretty good. But it feels like he's phoning in his performance sometimes. Kellerman is passionate, honest and insightful.
I loved the way he berated the judges for their scores during Oscar v Floyd.
And then months later, he made that speech calling into questioning Floyd's resume.
No bias, just telling it how it is.
He's also called Oscar up on fighting Pac, and slaughtered judging standards during Diaz Vs Katsidis.
Calzaghe fans don't like him because he had the temerity to mention Dawson's name after the RJJ fight....but to me, he was just saying what most fans were thinking. He got Hatton to call out Floyd. If he gets the ball rolling with big fights, what's so bad about that? Nothing, absolutely nothing. Kellerman is a fan, just like us, so if he can use his power to get fighters negotiating fights we want to see, then respect to him.
Yeah, he ****ed up about Eubank knocking down Slappy. It's more a sloppy error than anything major.
I know Larry is a class act and it will be a sad day when he retires for good. But Kellerman seriously rules.
I feel like I'm in good hands with him.
