Lol, I like how Mayweather fooled his fans into thinking he can only fight big names. Unless De La Hoya or Mayweather fight them, it takes years upon years to become a big name. De La Hoya made Mayweather a big name when he fought him, until then Floyd's biggest pay per view sold 350,000.

No big names (You've just been punked), by Money May.

is the way I see it. Oscar made Mayweather, Mayweather made Hatton, but because Hatton already a large fan base, the Mayweather fight possibly increased it so when speaking in terms of Global start power, I would go with Hatton, then Mayweather.
Hatton is a huge star especially in the UK. Floyd really hit the mainstream with that dancing with the stars and WWE crap. He was already doing decent numbers before the Delahoya fight, his fight with Ricky is the biggest fight under heavyweight ever not including DLH. He will come back and do big fights hopefully next year, you have to remember Mayweather is still undefeated.

Mayweather doesn't have the love from the fans like Hatton that's for sure.

When he comes back, he needs to fight Pwill or Marg, whichever is on top of the WW division. Anything else he does is pointless.

It's sad when everything comes down to names, or "star power". Fighters are supposed to fight the best in their division. End of story.

Floyd has plenty of fights out there if only he could push his massive ego to one side for a minute. Williams-Mayweather would be worth watching, as would a Marg fight.

Yeah, he was doing about as much as Cotto was before the Margarito fight. Against Margarito he did 100,000k+ more buys than anything Mayweather did before De La Hoya.

Cotto vs. Mayweather would be a huge fight!
Mayweather vs. Pacquiao would also be huge, especially if Pacquiao beat Oscar.
Mayweather vs. Margarito would do pretty well, but mostly its such an intriuging matchup...theyre practically complete opposites, and theres been calls for this fight for a long time.

Id go for any of these. not big into rematches.

I don't know if Mayweather should even come back. According to the poll Roy Jones, Jr. was clearly voted the best in his prime. Mayweather's propensity to dodge the big hitters has hurt his credibility.

only ways i see floyd comin out of retirement:

pac-man beats DLH and the ratings do extremely well, hed fight pac

if margarito beats mosley, then goes on to beat DLH and that does well ratings wise, id think he fight marg

thats about it, i dont see anyone else now that will make him enough money

oh, just shut up. Mayweather may not have fought the best at 140 or 147lbs, but he did at two other weight classes below. and you know what, technically he did beat the best at 140lbs, even if he did it at another weight class.

I wish he would have fought Tsyzu, Cotto and Margarito too, but to not want him to come back and think he ducked all the challenging fights in boxing is a joke.

To be honest the biggest money fight out there for Mayweather would be Hatton part 2.

It would be a revenge scenario, and this time Hattons ready and has had Money Mays fathers teaching him, and It would prob do around the same numbers as before.

                      Mayweather win KO round 5.
