HBO needs new boxing annoncers

jim lampley is the best in the business. Great voice and brings great drama to the fight.

I agree about the great voice and drama. Unfortunately, drama often involves fiction. Lampley's blow by blow work is often not very accurate.

Steward & Lampley: the best

Papa: sucks

Kellerman: the worst

Lewis: not articulate, but not annoying like Kellerman. Foreman was much better than Lewis.

Merchant: the best of all time, but he's getting too old and slow-thinking.

Suggestion: replace Kellerman and Papa with 1) a Hispanic-American, maybe Oscar, and 2) an articulate commentator like Iceman John Scully or Joe Mesi.

Building off this base, which is pretty solid, I'd say if you are going to replace Kellerman or Papa, you'd need someone to replace his perspective. Why not Raul Marquez? He's Hispanic, adding a little ethnic diversity, very articulate, bilingual and out of a job after the Abraham fight coupled with the cancellation of Solo Boxeo.

i love all them.... Merchant, Kellerman, Stewart, Lampley, Lewis..... i mean yea, they all have their quirks (most of which are actually funny) but i enjoy all they're commentary

Whenever a fight is on I always look for the HBO stream for there commentary alone.

They are the best commentators PERIOD. Showtime is pretty good as well.
