I think Taylor could have put Lacy away!

That picture in your avy doesn't look like he is holding back one bit... Jesus people need to realize Taylor fought serious last night and he just couldn't put jeff away. Taylor hasn't been a knockout artist for the longest time. He knocked mediocre opponents out, and that is where his ko's came from.

And Lacy has a pretty solid chin, he was hurt but still throwing bombs. And Taylor was already caught by Pavlik by bombs and they hurt. Taylor fought a cautious fight.

So which one is it?

Taylor had no problem hitting Lacy with hard shots, no argument there... but when he had him in trouble, he held back... call it being cautious or whatever you want, but clearly you saw it too.

Just FYI... saw an interview with Taylor tonight on the local news... he vehemently swore he was trying to get Lacy out of there when he had him hurt, even claimed his hands started to hurt because he was hitting him so hard. Said "Jeff's just a tough guy with great heart."

Believe it or not, just thought I'd throw it out there.

I think he did try to get Lacy out of there but got too tired as the fight went on, Taylor does have stamina issues.

It's not just Pavlik, but Edouard, Bunema, etc... Taylor's got a handful of TKO's that have come by him hurting his opponent and then overwhelming him with a flurry of punches through and around their guard. I didn't see that old "pounce" of his against Lacy. Maybe because he felt didn't need it since he was already hitting him with those hard, flush shots, but I doubt that's why...
