I think Taylor could have put Lacy away!

He held back for sure. Lacy did look better than he has in his past fights though, but still Taylor was landing half of his punches and Lacy couldnt do much to stop Taylor. I know it was obvious, but I felt like ranting about it. What do you think?

I think that Taylor tried to stop Lacy in the first half of the fight. In the second half he realized that Lacy was a tough guy to KO and he tired a bit. To me Calzaghe carried Jones more than this. Both were cases of the winners coasting on their leads.

yall need to stop living in the past. he might not have KOed Spinks or Ouma, but he practically destroyed Pavlik(who at least has a good chin) and hurt Lacy multiple times.

everyone is so negative, its amazing.

He couldn't hit Spinks and never had Ouma remotely as hurt as he had Jeff Lacy.

Yes, he could've stopped Jeff Lacy. He backed off, for whatever reason. I disagree with his decision, but one good thing he got out of it was the experience of going all 12 rounds after being off for 9 months.

i dont think he backed off, he just fought the right fight. lacy as a great chin, and taylor knows that. lacy also has knockout power. taylor played it smart and fought conservatively down the stretch so he wouldnt leave himself open to get caught.

at the end of round 2 or 3 he could have went in for the ko but he did nothing. he held back. lacy could knock him down with one punch, but he would need to land multiple times like pavlik did to knock him out.

It was one sided but still entertaining for the most part. I think Taylor held back a lil bit too.

That picture in your avy doesn't look like he is holding back one bit... Jesus people need to realize Taylor fought serious last night and he just couldn't put jeff away. Taylor hasn't been a knockout artist for the longest time. He knocked mediocre opponents out, and that is where his ko's came from.

And Lacy has a pretty solid chin, he was hurt but still throwing bombs. And Taylor was already caught by Pavlik by bombs and they hurt. Taylor fought a cautious fight.
