It almost kinda sad at the same time. But when I watch the vid against calzaghe again. I really dont think roy is fully done. between the cut and just hard to look good against a highly active puncher like calzaghe. Jones can still beat alot of good fighters. I have hope. Not to be the best. but to still do good things.
After watching the fight again, I realize the same thing. While Jones is nowhere near where he used to be, he could beat allot of guys. I give him a decent shot at beating Tarver or Johnson in rematches. Maybe those fights are ones that he should pursue. What do you think? Who should he fight? Really, Jones may have a good chance @ beating B-hop again, even now. B-hops hit and hold style will favor Roy, in my opinion. Jones can still make problems for Hopkins and be in position to win it at the end. Their work rate would be pretty even. I would still pay to watch it. Would you? And what are your thoughts on the matter?

Jones should have retired 5 years ago and preserved himself for posterity.

Hindsight is always 20/20. He would not have known his skills had diminished had he not fought those Tarver fights. After that, he has been in search of redemption that he doesn't need to obtain. We both know he will not retire yet, so who would pose the lowest risk/reward? I say Hopkins fits the bill and I think it will still sell.

I think Roy would beat Glen Johnson in a rematch
Glen probably has brain damage from all the beatings he took over the years, to go over the ring ropes would be a challenge in itself.

I wonder if he can still drive?

I say he should fight erdei. or winner of Braehmer vs Garay just to pick up a title. Then move up to cruiser to win a title so he can add to his legacy by being a champ in 5 weight classes. But if he wants to fight guys like tarver and Johnson that would be good too.

What about B-hop again? Would you like his chances in that fight? And would you pay to see it?
