There wasn't enough money for the Clottey/Williams match. It wasn't either of their faults.

Bob Arum isn' letting ANY of his fighters near Williams. Afetr Williams messed up the first unification fight with Cotto and Margarito, careful inspection will show that every Top Rank Fighter (Pavlik, Clottey, and Margarito) Williams has been in talks with has broken down. But P'Dub is just going to have to keep beating contenders until he becomes the mandatory. Plus the boxing public is going to demand that these fighters step up to the plate and fight him. It's just a matter of time.

Here is what I hate about boxing fans.

Paul Williams lost to Carlos Quintana. After the fight, Paul Williams was deemed "overrated", weight issues, bla bla bla. Basically, he was just another good boxer who couldn't make welterweight. Then he avenges his loss, gets another W and suddenly he's the best fighter within 3 divisions and the most feared fighter on the planet.

Margarito beats Miguel Cotto, now Cotto is a bum and Margarito is the best anyone has ever seen on the face of the Earth.

lol. I just find that **** funny. One loss or win, and people start jumping on or off the bandwagon.

Same thing, with Jermaine Taylor. The guy won yesterday at 168lbs and suddenly he can challenge the 175lbs king, Joe Calzaghe. I mean WTF?

Williams is in the same place Margarito was a a few years back though, High risk.. very low reward. It probably wouldn't of been like this if he wouldn't of lost to Quintana..
