Taylors got a good chance with that jab. if he can slip Joes jab and pump his all night clinching along the way he has a good chance.
Calzaghe vs Taylor at 170

yea if calzaghe couldn't knock a shot one punch per round Jones out, Taylor could pose a serious threat. Taylor punches hard and throws combos to - the clinch would nullify the sheer amount of slaps.Comment

Either he was having stamina problems or he was doing that to prevent Lacey from fighting on the inside. I was getting tired of it, but Taylor busted out with some nice flurries to the body. Still, I don't see how that makes him a clown.Comment

Don't dig that style of boxing, and when you're a boxer and you're getting paid for it. You aren't just going out there to win money, you're going out there as an entertainer in my opinion. Was his quick flurries entertaining? Yes, but the rest was like wtf is this holding ****? I think I know why Taylor says he wants to go back down to 160, he said it before the lacy fight. I think he knows he has stamina problems in this weight class.Comment

If that's the way you feel, then why even start this thread?
The more I think about it, the more I realize how troubled Taylor looked to be in there with his friend tonight. I could see it in his eyes as early as his ring march.
I'd really like to see him in against another (non-friendly) live opponent before assessing any chance he would have against Calzaghe. Because honestly right now I just don't see much chance of him winning unless he could pack away a bunch of rounds early.Comment
