Those reasons are incredibly lame, though. Convenient excuses, that's all they are.

I'm not saying we should all blindly follow fighters for ever and ever. If a fighter is consistently lacklustre and is showing a pathetic attitde fight after fight, then it's understandable if you cant be assed with them.

But picking out reasons like mentioned are lame as hell.

OK, your fighter may have been exposed and not been what you thought he might have been, but this isn't about being fans only of undefeated fighter, otherwise everyone would be a Mayweather or Calzaghe fan.

This is boxing, fighters lose. It's that vulnerability that makes boxing so unpredictable.

      Let me give an example.

Before Pavlik got schooled by Hopkins, MacChamp was all over Pavlik. He even had this section in his sig decrying Calzaghe for ducking Pavlik.

Then, as soon as he lost, he reverts back to Calzaghe. What, a loss to Hopkins means Calzaghe didn't duck him after all? How does that logic work?

I'm not saying you have to be blindly loyal to a fighter. But to bum him incessantly, only to turn against him after a loss is ridiculous, IMHO.

      It's not a competition.
I still have not abandoned Prince Naseem Hamed.

I'm still with Mijares though. Hopefully he can get a rematch and beat him. He needs to improve his defensive style though...It works against orthodox fighters, but southpaws I'm not so sure.
I was more disappointed in Pavlik for losing than Wladimir, because when Wlad fought Brewster he did his absolute best, as always, and almost KOed Lamon in the 4th round. Pavlik was either sick or just there for the payday in his fight with Hopkins. I'm still a Pavlik fan, but I'll admit I like him less than before after that mediocre effort.

Mediorce effort? He tried his best and wasn't sick. He might have been feeling sick from all those shots Hopkins was landing on him though.

Hopkins is just simply the better fighter.

I'm shaking here, in my sandels. If I were you and you were me I would take that as a compliment, getting angry over the internet like that is laughable, considering I would never even meet your wife.

Then again its really really doubtful you would take me in a fight tough guy. Really doubtful.

With that kind of outburst, I think you do need your ass kicked, preferably in front of your fat ass wife.

I'm still behind my favorite boxers, especially Margarito & DLH 100%, always have and always will, even after their loses.
