I want to apologize to everyone for my anger, I just felt like the ref was not fair to both fighters. Sorry again

If he got knocked down I'd be all for saying it. Makes **** all difference.

One of the Barrett knocked downs didn't even look right, the one where Haye rabbit punched him (should have been warned for that)

I can't see what put him down there. He was on the way down.

Looks like KD to me followed up by an illegal punch. Doesn't matter, though, Haye was taking him out either way.

um guys, the difference between Haye's slip knockdown and Barrett's slip knockdown is this....

Barrett had been knocked down multiple times and his legs were jell-O, while Haye looked fresh as a daisy and was clearly not hurt.

sometimes, when a fighter is on rubbery legs and goes down(even there is no real clean punch landed) the other fighter gets a knockdown. which makes sense, because if you cant stand up on your own, then youre clearly hurt and need some time to recoop. hence the knockdown. it would be unfair if a guy could just fall all over the ring without being penalized, because him getting time to get up and get his gloves cleaned off is a break for him.

It looked to me like a slip but it's hard to tell from that angle. Even if it was a KD, Monte hit Haye cleanly when he was on the floor so the Foul over-rides the Knock Down, he would have got instantly disqualified if Haye had been too hurt to continue because it was a blatant foul. Haye did swing at Barrett when he was down but the punch didn't land so it's not considered a legitimate foul.

And having a home referee helps too...

But the result is good, because it sets up a fight between Haye and one of the Klitschko brothers.

good point that justified the knockdown of Barrett I was talking about.
