Red the book, never saw the film.

I really like the character of Terry Malloy in On the Waterfront. He's a boxer but he's not just a boxer.

Daniel Day Lewis to play Joe Calzaghe? He likes to get into character. I wonder how he would do saying "At the end of the day I beat Lacy and Kessler Im a legend killer man, fuck Hopkins!"

Marlon Brando as an ex-boxer in On The Waterfront (1954)

Charlie Chaplin in City Lights (1931)...there's a scene where he gets involved in a boxing match where he is outclassed but quite clever

Liev Schreiber looks like Joe Calzaghe and he's closer in age

There is a movie that came out maybe last year , a comedy called The Hammer with Adam Carolla. He used to box when he was younger so the fights look pretty good, alot more realistic than most, Jeff Lacy makes a cameo and it really is pretty funny check it out if you havent

Terry Malloy is the name of the character. That is a truly brilliant film.
