Here is my favorite answer from Micky Ward. He told me this at ringside of the Malignaggi-Cherry fight. We were discussing the second fight with Gatti.

"He caught me with a right hand on the back of my ear and busted my ear drum and my equilibrium. I'll tell you, I don't know how he lasted. I don't remember one bit of that whole fight. All I remember is going to the ring, him hitting me, pounding my chest when he hurt me, and then all of a sudden after that there were very few things I remember about that fight."

        Classic.

Round 9 of Ward-Gatti 1...as good as any of the three Hagler-Hearns rounds, Bowe-Holyfield (10th round of first fight), etc etc. Agreed??

No way, Chorty...mine took place in an actual boxing ring, TV cameras rolling, right in the middle of the anticipation of a televised championship fight about to begin....that would be like putting a war hero on a battlefield somewhere, right in the bush, and asking him, "Does this remind you of anything??"
