Kessler turns down Dawson!

They're just playing it safe. They know another loss for Kessler at this point would be a career ender.
With only one loss at the hands of the best super-middleweight, he can build on his resume. With another at the hands of Dawson and playtime is over.Comment

Probably. I just hate the idea of him fighting nobodies for the next few years. A lot of good fighters do not get offered an opportunity as good as this.Comment

This reminds me of Cus D'Amato's managing of Floyd Patterson when he repeatedly told Patterson what fighters he could beat and what fighters he could not beat.
When Patterson finally gave a shot at Liston on his own, he under-performed big time.
Hopefully that won't happen to Kessler the next time he faces a highly rated opponent.Comment

yea.. he said that himself.. if he didnt have any challenges at ltheavy then hed go down to 168.. hes not a big 175lberComment

first he turns down miranda, now dawson? kessler has been fighting nothing but bums lately, he should step up and fight the taylor/lacy winner or the froch/pascal winner.Comment

I'm amazed with Palle. I'm sure Kessler may have in no un certain terms said he would consider Dawson as he could make 175 ok with a couple of months, may wrong. But even then, I think Mikkel himself would take it. He certainly called Hopkins out, and he's a worse style match up for him than Dawson.
What the feck is Palle talking about Dawsons a cruiserweight squeezing down to LHW. He's long that long outta SMW, and can still make that weight. He's never even fought at CW and comes in under for LHW. That if true in particular, makes me think it's an excuse from Palle. Mikkel needs to lose him.
Bat I know your reliable bud, but any articles on this at all anywhere yet?Comment

Kessler is wasting away.
Also his career earning must be taking a battering knocking out all these average mandatories.Comment
