As Lacy himself has said, it would put his career back on track.

Great post lefty! I'd like to give you some rep. but I have to spread some around first.

A decisive KO would catapult Lacy back into the mix. He would take over Taylors spot as HBO gatekeeper at 168 lbs.

If Lacy KO'd him, it would just hurt Taylor's reputation. People would say that

1.) He was just overhyped, skidded by on the Hopkins fight and this KO loss to Lacy, who had been embarrassed by Calzaghe, just proved it.

or 2.) Roy Jones syndrome, everyone will think he just isn't the same fighter he was before getting KO'd by Pavlik.

If he did get KO'd it be a shame, especially considering Jermain is a very talented fighter. Though I believe he's taken his abilities as far as they'll go. He's reached a plateau in his skills, and he won't be able to get any better than he is now.

He'd get back some lost credibility, but even at that Taylor's lost 2 str8 so people would probably think that had sumthin to do wit it. Even if Lacy somehow wins this, which I absolutely don't see happenin, I don't think he can fully reestablish himself to the level he seemed to be at a few years ago.

I don't think he can establish himself to that level with one win over Taylor but he would put his name back in the mix at 168 for sure. Maybe get himself a rematch with Taylor for big money or fight with Kessler or on eof the other top guys....Lefty

I love JT but I'm not ready to hand him the win over Lacy prematurely. Taylor has such shoddy defense and Lacy is so strong (with power) that one or two well-placed shots and we may have the upset of the year. Couple that with the fact that neither fighter is very cerebral and hey, who knows?

It means he gets to be beaten up by either Froch, Pascal or Bika.

I suppose he'd get well compensated for it!

come on jeff!! i hope lacy ko's taylor brutally.
I cant understand why jeff gets so much hassle, so he was hyped alot by the promoters as the new tyson. At least he gave entertainment to the fans.
I for one hope lacy beats taylor then wins the wbc title and fight kessler for the unfiyed title.
