And judging by your sig, you're probably pissed that Calzaghe whooped Roy like he did, so you're not gonna give him credit.Comment

So we can assume that...if true...[always a problem with anything that Oscar says] he must have hopped on the scales after coming back from a long run,and when he'd had a meal and something to drink, was about 150-51.
it's also very encouraging for the Pacmaniacs (who'll think Oscar is already overtrained and will be as weak as a kitten) who'll put down good money in huge chunks betting on Manny to win. Oscar probably has a company hidden away somewhere which handles things like that, which will be, no doubt, picking up as many short odds bets on Manny that it can find.......
I believe that he'll make welter comfortably anyway, probably dehydrating for a couple of days before weigh in, and coming into the ring at about 160=62 or so.
He would not have taken the fight at welter, especially with such huge indemnities against overweight (that is if they're TRUE, ALWAYS a big "if) unless he was certain he'd make it in good, strong condition.
The Forbes fight, to me anyway, seems to have been more and more, a sort of an advert for this fight, and not taken (fight and condition wise) nearly as seriously as a more competitive fight might have been.Comment

After fighting at junior middleweight and above since 2001, and struggling to make 150-pounds for the May fight with Steve Forbes, there was a lot of doubt that Oscar De La Hoya would make the welterweight limit of 147 without a serious struggle. De La Hoya, who faces Manny Pacquiao at the welterweight limit on December 6 in Las Vegas, claims to already weigh 145-pounds. Pacquiao, who is moving up by two weight divisions from the lightweight limit of 135-pounds, is said to currently weigh around 151-pounds - six pounds more than De La Hoya. [details]Comment

if this is true, delahoya is in serious trouble. he's drained physically when the fight is three weeks away. erik morales was so drained the night he fought pacman and lost.
