JT is dangerous with his speed and punching power. Plus hes alot younger. I think Roy is going to fight Tarver again, thats my prediction. Look for Jones-Tarver IV by the spring/summer 09.

Ive watched that Jones and Calzaghe fight 3 or 4 times during the last couple of days and Roy was holding his own for the first 6 rounds its just that Joe throws waaaay to many punches....

i think roy wanted to pick it up in the last half of the fight like hes done previously, but with the cut, he couldnt see anything coming in... anyways we shall see

I thought he tried what Ali did on Foreman the rope-a-dope then I saw the rhytm he kept going either ''too defensive'' then ''too loose'' but... I'm a amateur, now you said it I think I'mma check it out again.

Edit; also was he scared to punch Joe? At some points RJJ was just not punching.

yea but Jermain wanted Trinidad first I think, I was really lookin forward to him fighting Jones..

with that cut I kindve think Roy went into survival mode, you could tell he was pacing himself in the first half of the fight, I do think the cut ruined his fight plan.. could he have won the fight without the cut prolly not,but I do think he couldve fought alot better...

I just wish Roy wouldve thrown the uppercut more to Joes body and head

I was yelling throw the upper cut all night and he did throw a few and catch Joe pretty flush but honestly if he didn't get cut he might have fought better but I didn't see him coming on nearly as much as he needed to do to the right hands Joe was lamding to the body...Lefty

Yeah I think they will, but it will depend on the fight.. HBO WONT show tarver vs roy... and glen vs roy is iffy...

I don't know about you, but I'm not too enthusiastic about Roy fighting anybody. Unless it something easy, I don't want to see him get hurt anymore.

what I wish he wouldve done was when joe was stickin his head up by Jones' guard that is when Roy shouldve let the uppercut go, instead he threw a close right hook to joes head which hardly did any damage, but had an uppercut landed who knows how much that shot couldve hurt joe...
