So Joe would get more credit for beating Hopkins again then beating Dawson, how does that make sense? He is #1 ranked LHW who beat 2 ex-ring lhw champs. when mayweather went ww he beat #1,#2 in baldomir and judah. id like one joe fight next guy in line.

he should fight Dawson. Forget Bhop. he's part of the past. Dawson's supposed to be the future and Joe whoopin his young ass would show everyone that Joe's the best p4p. joe haterz won't be able to use the excuse that joe only beats old fogies

Just gona say guys, dunno where this quote comes from but it isn't exactly convincing. Oh we'll happily put a PPV on in Wales Millenium Stadium now for a smaller name, lesser super fight, when you've said your going to retire. Missed your chance guys. Plus saying there'd be their with open arms is off putting, basically we'll take the money and don't care about you.

I really don't see Calzaghe fighting on with numerous boxers telling Joe publically to retire and he's already said he most likely will.

HBO's Senior Vice President Kerry Davis tells the South Wales Argus that a Calzaghe finale with either Chad Dawson or Bernard Hopkins on British soil, would get full backing from HBO.

In regards to backing Calzaghe's fight at Millennium Stadium, Davis tells the Argus: “I think absolutely we would be at the Millennium Stadium if Joe decided to fight again.” Davis went on to add that the ball is in Calzaghe's court, stating: “However, it’s all down to Joe. If he wants to go back to Wales for another fight, we will go with big smiles and open arms.”

Although HBO is ready and willing to back Calzaghe in a finale, there is no word yet or indication to whether or not Calzaghe will continue with boxing or hang up the gloves and retire.

This is great to know, hopefully Slappy has the balls to fight either of them...
I'm in favor of Hopkins, but i'll take Chad if he ******* out on the rematch

Joe has made it clear that he won't rematch Hopkins. And if he does decide to fight 1 more time I think he'd choose Dawson. Joe feels he's still green, inexperience and he'd be more confident in fighting someone like that in his backyard. I mean he's done it all his life lol...I'm just saying...

This is great news, at least HBO can now provide the money Calzaghe wants without Gary Shaw being a cheap ass.

Calzaghe probably wants at least $5 million dollars or more, and Dawson would probably get $1.5 million dollars (which would be his highest paycheck).

HBO, Showtime and Gary Shaw should all chip in, but Calzaghe wants a break from boxing. If this fight does happen, it would probably be around September.
