eh, it would not mean much really. taylor is coming off 2 losses, and as of now has nothing to offer.

Out of those two, has to be Chad Dawson.

I really wouldn't understand why Joe would ever pick Dawson.

Massive risk, no reward. He's a guy on the way up, people will say he is too green and a Calzaghe win would stick a significant wrench in Dawson's career who is going to be a big star of the future. Joe is not there for the taking, it's a significant risk for Dawson to his career is getting of the ground, Joe could shoot it down.

Calzaghe vs Hopkins is the ONLY fight that makes any sense imo. Let the golden oldies fight eachother instead of messing **** up. lol

That's interesting way of looking at it, and I agree in part. I don't see why one should have faith in Calzaghe getting loads of respect for beating another guy. Could happen but why bother? He struggles for motivation now, Hopkins and Roy are two guys that have been around in his era for time he wanted to face, legends, and wanted to face them. Not true of Dawson so there's no motivation. Dawson brings no money, star quality, **** talking, hyping, major credit. But still I'll put it above a Hopkins re match.

Main reason being no one was really crying for a re match before, they were too busy undermining the win for Hops being shot. Then he's suddenly good again re match calls come. I find that a total joke to be honest. He beat him when he had a slight hand injury, hadn't trained hard, wasn't that motivated, took him lightly, didn't spar much, and was a style nitemare for him. He won clearly by 3 rounds on one card, by 5 on another (more than Taylor ever managed) and lost by one measly round from one judge. That's only just a SD, very close to UD. Nothing points to Hopkins pulling it off in another gift of an opportunity. He lost.

Joe has unfinished business with Sven 'The Slugger ' Ottke. I need closer.

In all seriousness, Joe should retire now. What happens if Joe wins his next fight, they'll be calls for him to fight the next guy and so on and so fourth. Then he'll never retire LOL.

I'd love to see Joe-Dawson but I consider it unlikely. BHop rematch is more probable I think.

Going out with a win in Wales would be a great way for Joe to say goodbye.

I'm not sure if either fight makes sense for Calzaghe. From a purely financial point of view though, a Hopkins rematch makes far more sense. I can't see Dawson drawing too much interest, even though a fight with Dawson is easily the more exciting fight.

Calzaghe beat Hopkins fair and square in a very close fight, so I don't see any reason that he has to prove anything, but there is a huge risk in a rematch purely because Hopkins is a nightmare to look good against. Dawson is a very talented young fighter and dangerously fast, but with a record that suggests he isn't entirely worth his shot. Both are very dangerous fights for Calzaghe, but he doesn't need to prove anything. If he does decide to take one of the two then some haters on here need to give him credit for showing a huge set of balls.

I wasn't even joking about Ottke.

I really want Joe to fight him.

                      Id watch him fight Johnson.
Glad to hear HBO is gonna give him this option. Joe has done enough to bow out at this point, but a win over a young stud like Chad Dawson would really do a lot for his legacy. I would understand if he didnt want to take that fight, but I hope he does.
