Ahh yes, it looked very obvious to me after he was hunching over in a peculiar way, MUCH props for not showing he was hurt.

4:00 - very deceptive treating it like it was a low blow! And starting at 4:25 Abraham is clearly hurt and trying to hang on like he wasn't hurt by going into a much tighter shell than usual, then he pushes him away successfully, only for Marquez to never throw a body shot after that again.

It may seem like a ******/made up description but somehow I knew he was hurting, I can't believe Marquez didn't! Maybe he was too concerned with Arthur's power

      Thanks for posting.

Your're right. It looks like the punch at 3.51 does the damage. He is also hit with a good combo to the body in the moment thereafter.

Funny thing is that it's as early as the fourth round. I remember thinking during the fight that M. should dig AA's body some more. Perhaps I even posted it when I did the rbr.

You are right, it does seem like he was hurt at that point.

He came back with combinations to push Marquez back, making him think he wasn't affected by any of it which isn't what Abraham normally does but it worked well for him.

Arthur Abraham is definitely one of the toughest, if not the toughest guy in boxing.

Hopefully his fragile body won't shorten his career.

Pavlik or Sturm should be next if they are willing to fight him.

I just checked the RBR on the fight. I thought it was a low blow.

The poster secondsout actually posted that he heard AA tell his corner that he had a problem with his right rib.

no question he is very tough, but i'm surprised he got busted ribs from the career 54,a nd not big hitting marquez. i guess all the covering up, and taking the body shots are gonna effect you even from a marquez. that is gonna need to be changed against a guy like pavlik or else he will really get hurt to the body.
