He won't take a victory from Hopkins ever again, partly because he'll never fight him ever again.

But if the fight were to take place I would bet my house on a Hopkins UD, or even a late TKO.

He definitely deserves credit for that win now, Hopkins' win over Pavlik makes Calzaghe's win look much better than it did before. Hopkins does have an excuse for that fight though, a thyroid condition that was bothering him for both the Wright and Calzaghe fights.

Glad to see somebody else point this out.

Joe fans are always accustom to having excuses on hand when it comes to him not fighting Bernard and Roy earlier, and ducking Johnson and Dawson.

The reason you don't hear much about it is because Bernard fans aren't keen on making excuses, unlike Joe fans.

Haha you got a point there, Hopkins doesn't get affected by that. However I think that atmosphere would not be so much as hurting Hopkins, but more of boosting Joe.

well i gotta be honest, i like joe alot, as well as bhop, BUT........the bernard that kicked kelly's ass beats joe, and most likely anyone else from 60-75 on the current scene. he was insane that night!!!!

How do you figure though, Joe is not Pavlik, believe me, Joe is dirty and wouldn't really let B-Hop throw those flurries at will like that, and he wouldn't just sit down, and throw bombs like Pavlik.

not saying it would be so one sided by any means, but bhop would have beat joe that night imo.
