I was there and it didn't seem like he carried him. Sometimes it looked like he could finish him and didn't but it seemed to be because of what Jones did. Jones was able to survive and Calzaghe didn't press harder because he didn't want to get caught. Simple.

Calzaghe knew he had this fight won as soon as he cut Jones. But he still had to be careful of Jones' right hand. I think Calzaghe did ease up for the last few rounds, maybe he was getting a bit tired as well as his workrate was awesome all night but I think had he really went for it and let go of his punches like he did against Lacy and Mitchell he would have stopped Jones.
