Juan Manuel Marquez vs Diego Corrales

I'm a say at 130 because i think Chico is too much for Marquez at 135,let me know how you think this fight would go down

Marquez is physically a much smaller man. I'd say Chico by decision.

Tough call. I'm huge fans of both guys. I'll try to break it down.

Corrales struggled against superior technicians, and make no mistake about it, Marquez is a superior technician. Marquez has a problem with getting tagged in unecessary exchanges, and if Pacquiao can put Juan down, Chico damn sure could.

If Marquez could avoid the exchanges, and employ a strict boxing gameplan, Juan would win a unanimous decision.

However, if he fought him like he fought Manny, Chico would knock him out cold. His power was just too great to take.

It's a 50/50 fight, right down the middle the way I see it. Truly a toss up.

i agree with you,i'm trying not to be bias but's its hard,i think JMM chin is pretty solid, but this is really a hard fight to pick, that's why i chose 130,at 135 i say Chico ko's JMM but at 130 i give him a chance to win a decision with a knockdown

Chico still packed quite a punch at 130, though not nearly as wicked as his punch at 135lbs obviously.

I think you're probably right on this. I see it happening kind of like Marquez/Pacquiao 1, only not a carbon copy.

Diego drops him twice instead of 3 times, once in the 4th, and once in the 6th. But Marquez clearly outboxes him and wins a UD on the cards.

By the way I'd feel sorry for Chico eating Juan's straight right hand all night long. Juan's straight right is a thing of beauty, I haven't seen a right hand that fast, that beautiful, and with that type of precision since a prime Bernard Hopkins.

Pacquiao put Marquez down because he was so fast, corales isn't blazing fast, I don't see him tagging Marquez. Marquez is to quick and to accurate for Corrales I see him winning a UD.

yeah that right hand is so amazing, every time he throws i'm like "damn, did he really just land that and not get tagged?"but i think Chico beats Pac at 130 by ud,with knockdowns in the process

Jesus Christ, Corrales/Pac at 130? That'd be insane.

If anybody ever could put Pac on the deck, it was my boy Chico.

Corrales would love fighting Pac because Pac fights exactly the way Corrales prefers to fight.

Manny may be able to put Chico down with a brillaintly placed, quick counter, because Chico went down on many of those. But he always got up more pissed off, and Manny doesn't have the power to hurt Chico.

I'd pick Chico to take Manny in an 11th round TKO. Manny is too ballsy for his own good, and against a bigger man like Corrales it would cost him dearly.
