You can face top comp and go unbeaten as long as you can fight. Not every unbeaten fighter is protected.

totally agree with the title of this thread. if a fighter has atleast 30 fights and he is still undefeated, its almost a guarantee that the fighter has ducked someone along the way.

not really, although a fighter's record comes under much greater scrutiny.
