Miguel Cotto's record will look something like that when he's finished (without so many losses)

Not so much fighting the right people as not fighting enough great fighters. Irrespective of how good a boxer is, everyone can be beaten on a given night, due to styles, circumstances etc, and fighting a lot of top tier opponents greatly increases the chances of that happening. Fighters who finish their careers with 0 losses on their record, ie Marciano, Calzaghe, Mayweather, tend to get scrutinised more too.

I think Mayweather and Calzaghe fought some tough guys and still don't get credit. Oh well, this board is childish as ****. Like some people on this board probably think they could have gotten in the ring and made supposedly shot roy look like that on saturday.

People think they're as tough as professional boxers.

you have a good point, but workhorses like johnson also get to fight more great fighters. just look at judah... he's fought almost or was in talks to fight almost everyone worth a damn from 140 to 147.

totally agree with the title of this thread. if a fighter has atleast 30 fights and he is still undefeated, its almost a guarantee that the fighter has ducked someone along the way.
