Joe is the greatest Super Middleweight of All Time. That said, the division has only existed for 24 years.

And a great Light Heavyweight Champ? He just took the title from Hopkins in a split decision, in order to be considered a great Light Heavyweight Champion he'd actually have to defend the title.

Hopkins (rematch), Dawson, Johnson, Tarver, all worthy of a shot at Joe.

But you said Joe should be considered the greatest SMW of all time, I agree with that.

But you also mentioned that he's one of the best LHW champs ever, that is ridiculous by my estimation.

Certainly he's the man at 175 right now, but he's only beaten Hopkins and a completely shot Roy at 175. To be one of the best LHW Champs ever he'd need to fight and beat all the guys I've previously mentioned.

If beating an aging legend in a title defense makes you one of the greatest Champions ever, I can think of dozens of Champions who whould be ATG's based on that logic.

Joey Maxim for starters, for beating Robinson.

But things don't work that way.

Joe is a great fighter though and the best Super Middleweight of All Time as it stands right now. (And is likely to stand for many, many years to come. Until someone comes along and bests his record at 168.)

The chap quoted above has just described your last opponent as "worthless". We know that in your prime you were a very special fighter, and the objective amongst us know that Calzaghe is also a very special fighter who happened to be nearer to his prime than you were on Saturday.

I try to keep things on an even keel around here, but I've been known to "take the piss" from time to time just for ****s and giggles.

It depends on who's talking about Joe. Not all of us Americans here hate the guy or don't respect him. Idiots will never give credit where it's due.

Disregarding some of the spiteful and ******ed posts that I'm reading on here, I'll just say this...

My heart wanted Jones to dazzle like he used to, but my logic knew better, even though I wished it, Roy Jones was not going to turn back the clock because the evidence of his decline showed itself apparent long ago. I don't take anything away from Joe, he did what he said he was going to do and he delivered. Jones had me fooled for the first two rounds and when Calzaghe went down on the first round, it brought back flashes of what once was and it was gold for that moment. It is what it is and now Jones can reflect and realize that he has reached the definitive end of his amazing career. All the haters can laugh it up, type away your rants until you get carpal tunnel, then realize that your asinine dribble is worthless and empty just like your hate.

Realize this, your disdain towards someone you don't really know is meaningless to Jones and those who know him in real life, no matter how hard you try you will not undermine his ATG career. Hate some of his fans, but respect the man. I'm done with you putas :smileysex

I am disappointed that worthless people like Joe are riding on your name.All of a sudden a man who spent his life fighting bums is called a great fighter and will be called Sir Joe Calzaghe this year because of Roy.
