Calzaghe should fight Dawson and Pavlik

Lets face it, the Americans aren't going to respect him until he destroys all of their heroes and, if we're honest, his resume of opponents doesn't quite compare with the all time greats of boxing. The wins I respect are:

    Chris Eubank
    Jeff Lacy
    Mikkel Kessler
    Bernard Hopkin
    Roy Jones Jr.

But in truth Eubank, Hopkin and Jones Jr. were past their best.

I'm a big fan of Calzaghe but he needs a couple more names under his belt. Joe is more than capable of beating both these guys to seal his legacy stateside and should do it.

By the time he has done that someone else will be on the scene demanding a match so it would be a futile exercise. I would quite like to see him fight again but only because I enjoy his fights and not to appease people who will never give him credit.

I hate how ****y he is but with that said there is no one right now he can beat and still get full credit. He beats Dawson, Dawson would then be overrated and ppl will refer to him beating tarver past his best days and his gift decision win over Johnson. He beats Pavlik, Pavlik is one dimensional and cant fight at any weight other then middleweight. Beats Hopkins again...Hopkins would then be 44. I personally think the best guy out there is Kessler, and he already beat him easily.

The only person out there is a match against Arthur Abraham at Super middleweight. He is getting credit over here in the states, the Welshman beat up Roy bad, making him look like a bum i.e an english boxer.

Arthur Abraham Isn't a SMW fighter. All this catchweight bull**** has gone far enough as it is.IMO fighting catchweight fights isn't doing anything to help increase the fighters or Boxings reputation as a whole.

"Calzaghe needs to fight Pavlik" = the most ridiculous statement I have heard on this board.

He is at a stage(The Mayweather stage) right now where he gets another person thrown at him the next day of a dawson win.

I would like to see him fight Dawson too but lets say dawson beats B-hop/Kessler in the next 6 months and joe still fancy it then why not??

Fight Dawson soon and then no one can have any complaints.
