Who would Calzaghe need to beat to be recognized as a great fighter?

The other names would not have been acknowledged as good wins.
Lol, excuses, excuses. You must be either an insider or Calzaghe's manager with all that negotiation info. I doubt either. Hopkins has always had a light heavy frame, Joe could have moved up to light heavy comfortably. Winky could have comfortably made super middle, as could Joe have probably made middle. All these weight excuses are BS. We've currently got a super feather signed to fight a light middle (Pac-Oscar). That's 4 weight classes diff. The fact is Joe has been hard to get into the ring.

It's hard to argue that Joe isn't a great fighter at this point. He may not be the hardest puncher, and throw unsightly slappy punches. But there's no arguing that his style scores him points on the scorecards and wins fight, which at the end of the day is the most important for him. Had Calzaghe fought in the US earlier in his career, he'd probably be getting more respect.

Actually to provide that information all you need is to have been a boxing fan for more than a few years. Most of that information is incidental stuff relating to weights and the rest has been easily accessible from media outlets for years.

But if he fought Silva and beat him, Anderson would be forever called a bum.
