I hope that fight is made. Hopkins retirement is long overdue. Kessler will give him a prescription and make Hopkins look his age.

Should the fight happen I predict an easy Kessler win and no credit for beating Hopkins given.

So, Kessler doesn't apply pressure?? Do you even know who he is?
He's not a come forward fighter. If you disagree please prove me wrong. Give me a fight, show me a clip, something.

He did slow down in the last quarter of the fight when he started clinching but he turned it on in the 12th.

Pavlik didn't lose because he was overrated or exposed, he lost because he tried to jump two weight classes and fight lazy. He basically sat still, hoping Hopkins would get tired, and then he could apply pressure later in the fight. Unfortunately for him, Hopkins was very accurate, and literally punched the fight out of Pavlik before stamina could become an issue. It was an awkward style matchup, but basically a poor strategy from Pavlik.

He could have taken a step to his left and thrown left hooks all night. They would have hit home. Bernard constantly stayed on that sight to avoid Kelly's right hand, and Pavlik refused to fight accordingly. When Hopkins would back up, he could set up a double jab, and get back to his bread-and-butter. A few small adjustments, and that fight could have been completely different. Not to take away from Hopkins who did a spectacular job, but it wasn't difficult given Pavlik's poor preparation. He will still be a dominant middleweight champ; even Hop said so about him.

Kessler wouldn't be afraid to pull the trigger. Hopkins would not be strong enough to rough him around the ring, and Mikkel wouldn't get tired. I think his jab would keep B-Hop away and tire him out down the stretch. Hopkins wants no part of the top guys at 168 or 175; he'll fight shot, weight drained opponents (Tarver), or small guys who pack on a ton of weight (Pavlik).

If Popkins doesn't take this fight then he's officially ducking Kessler.

Or he just wants to hang it up while he's still got his health. This fight is of very little interest to him or his legacy, to be honest.

You only have to look at his last fight:

I must be blind or something but he was stationary a majority of this round, often inching backwards.

mikkel kessler is a good fighter leave it at that. but calling out hopkins? i dont beleive hes serious, bhop would destroy him,but it would be a waste of time for hopkins, why would he fight the guy that got beat by calzaghe? bhop is close to retiring, the only guy he should focus on is joe calzaghe.roy jones is no longer a factor, hes out of the picture.and calzaghe cant retire knowing that he got awarded a decision, most of his fans dont beleive he won.that rematch will soon happen
