    I would like to Congratulate

Joe Calzaghe and his fans (not ******ed fan boys but genuine fans). He performed very well..... turns out I overestimated what Jones had left and I understimated Calzaghe's skills.

Good job Calzaghe, you earned that victory and my respect.

I'd also like to admit that this loss really struck an emotional chord deep in my psyche. I didnt cry nor did I get glossy eyed but I was definitely saddened when I realized (especially in between rounds) how much Jones has slid. I believe he said something like " I just cant hit him " or something to that effect. Well, Jones' time has passed and it's time for Calzaghe to sit on top.

    Again, Congratulations.

Yeah it was hard to hear Jones say to his corner "I cant hit him".

Tell me about it man, I was crushed after watching the fight.

Today was really blah, I can't really describe it. I've yet to bounce back emotionally.

I'll echo those sentiments. It's like some sort of weird emotional hangover.

Unfortunately, coming onto this site just makes it worse. But I can't help coming on and reading about it, as sad as it makes me.

If it were any other fight I would have been cheering for Roy. But I had to go with Joe. Roy is an absolute legend and it was very upsetting to see him cut and distressed last night.

Roy is a great, great man with a heart of gold.

                Nice post.

What is admirable is how Jones stayed on his feet and kept trying till the end. It might appear that he wasn't trying at times but you have to take certain things into consideration.

He gave it his all, he went out like a man.

He's still my all time favorite fighter.

It was such a tough fight to watch. I was actually at a loss of words.

Props to Calzaghe, he fought a great fight. But it's seriously sad to watch a guy like Roy Jones be in the ring a shell of his former self. I found myself emotionally drained from that fight.
