I fail to see how that is even reasonable.

IF Roy wanted the fight, being the draw and shotcaller as you've stated,

why wait until 2008 to fight Joe Calzaghe?

I find it confusing that you don't seem to understand that the burden is on the guys underneath the man to fight him.

Roy was on top of the sport in the late 90s. Joe was defending a WBO super middleweight title in the UK, yet you seem to think Roy should have gone out of his way to fight the guy? What about all the other guys? You make it seem like Joe has been a top p4p fighter since 97 - he hasn't.

      I'm not buying that.

If a man wants a fight bad enough, he makes it happen.

      Roy never wanted the fight.
      Joe never wanted the fight.

Blame goes to both fighters, not just one.

      That is my point.

        Answer me this question please.

Why would Roy have wanted to fight Joe Calzaghe in the late 90s any more than he would have any of the other top contenders at 175 or even 168?

Sorry but I am missing something, when did JC want a fight with Jones? When did he fly to US?

            Sure,

past his prime Joe Calzaghe beat shot to pieces Roy Jones Jr. No need for a micracle for that. He looked like **** for the past 4 years...

And JC managed to get knocked down in the 1st round.

Old Fighters which I rate less knocked a less shot Jones out cold.

I never seen Roy issue any challenge to Joe, ever. Not as the top draw, big dog, pfp king, shotcaller big baller, etc.
              The challenger challenges.

It's english Jones was not the challenger.

Because Roy Jones was the p4p number 1 fighter in the sport.

Do you have an answer for me as to why Roy should have gone after Joe back then?

This isn't about who is champ and who isn't.

When a fighter wants to fight another fighter bad enough, the fight gets made.

                      Neither guy obviously wanted it.

Morales and Pacquiao got it on 3 times despite no major title being on the line.
