    Answer me this?

Who did Roy fight in his prime who was as awkward as Joe? as quick as Joe? as confident and ruthless and who wasn't going to die wondering and throw a constant flow on punches? who didn't mind getting hit?

I don't see anyone on the list of past fighter that Roy has boxed that is as good and as awkward as Calzaghe. People tell me Roy's best wins were against a green smaller Hopkins and a Jame Toney who couldn't move nor throw a punch on the night.

Current Calzaghe would have the edge on Jones at any stage of Jones' career. He is too awkward and likes to mix it too much for Jones to handle.

And who has Joe fought like a Prime Roy Jones Jr.?

Remember, the more you throw, to a great fighter, is more openings to throw your counter.

Plus, we don't know how Calzaghe would have reacted had he been in there with the prime Roy Jones Jr. who threw brutal body attacks that could wear down his opponents. Plus, the fast combos back in the day confused his opponents. Maybe they wouldn't Joe...we will never know.

As I said, current Calzaghe. Take Joe now, you tell me when Jones was at his best, in what fight and I will bet all the tea in China current Joe would have nailed not only that guy Jones beat but also taken a close battle against Jones.

People don't understand and appreciate how awkward southpaw Calzaghe is to box. He ruins your plans.

Montell Griffin was a 5ft 7 LHW FFS

he was a VERY illusive and he had fast hands and he was a very cagey counter puncher he was giving Jones all he could handle untill the knockdown before the DQ

Griffin was far more akward than Joe Calzaghe better defence cagey slick Boxer with fast hands and he confused oponents with his squating style and lack of height that is why he ring generaled James Toney and gave Jones so many problems

Griffins only problem was he could not take a solid shot
