The old saying is true: the last thing a fighter loses is his punch. Jones and Hopkins both have power. It's just not enough power to do anything other than piss Calzaghe off temporarily. They can't knock the guy out.

Let's also not moan about Bernard and Roy being past their prime. Calzaghe is also past prime. It's well documented that Hopkins had his chance to beat Calzaghe in 2002 but turned it down at the last minute, Hopkins hasn't even disputed this, and if you believe anything Frank Warren says, Jones never wanted anything to do with Calzaghe back in the day, he priced himself out of a fight several times.

So who's fault is it that Hopkins and Jones waited so long? It's their own. Since they left it so long, they got beat and now have an excuse -- "I was too old". So, there's no need for Hopkins or Jones to be bitching about what they didn't do earlier, when they had a better chance to beat Calzaghe. If they really felt they were too old to win they wouldn't have even stepped into the ring. Because they did, and lost, they (and the fans) have no right to complain. Too old? Then get the f**k out of the ring. Simple.

Whatever Chad does to Joe, Joe has the ability to adapt to. Chad doesn't have that ability. Chad fights with 1 style, Joe fights with many styles.

How can anybody here "prove" anybody else wrong when it comes to a matter of opinion. The only way I can prove you wrong is to wait for Dawson to fight either Hopkins or Calzaghe, and laugh it up when either of them clowns the kid. Until then all we can do is debate.

Joe has a world class chin? are you ****ting me? Hopkins is far from a puncher and put Calzaghe on his ass and Jones couldnt even stop Felix Trinidad who is way past it and hasnt fought in 3 years yet he put Calzaghe on his ass. Joe is the one that fights 1 style, all he does is rush his opponent and throw slaps give me a break, what did he ever do differently? He couldnt even fight when Jones was backing him up imagine Chad Dawson backing him up.

And Glenn Johnson is a guy that Calzaghe never fought and actually pulled out of a fight with Johnson

He pulled out twice due to injuries, but then penciled Glen in for a fight if he beat Woods. Joe expected Glen to beat Woods and was rooting for him also (there are articles on this floating around). But as Glen lost, the fight was called off because it was pointless.
