PPV undercards are failing to deliver

And how do you buy those PR best boxing cards from Direct TV? (now since Telefutra is out)yes DLH is FINALLY putting together a great undercard.
But bad undercards are HADLY the promoters fault anymore.
Fans just expect horrible undercards, so they dont show up. So now even if a promoter watned to put on a tremendous undercard, the fans wouldn't show up for it and it would go to waste.
HOwever, for the Latin Fury cards, they have always had entertaining undercards and the fans are always there and cheering for themComment

Agreed... although they were out with a ****ing vengence on the internet streams last night. I went through like 30-40, and all of them got shut down.Undercards are the main reasons so many users here just stream fights instead of buying them, HBO PPV is a damn ripoff.
They need to either put together better undercards, or allow cable/satellite users to purchase the main event only for like $14.95 or $19.95. Otherwise they'll continue to lose millions to those of us who use the internet as a means of watching PPV events.
I'm buying that PPV specifically for the undercard. Go Lopez!
I was going to buy Margarito-Cotto, but I changed my mind when I saw the dismal undercard.
I'm just not having it anymore. The only two PPVs I have bought so far were the last two Mayweather ones (when I was still a huge fan), and the best fight on either of the undercards was the no-skill war between Sergio Manuel Medina and Rey Bautista. No bueno.Comment

I agree with you Bringer, wholeheartedly and yeah something needs to be done about these horrific under cards as I myself had trouble watching anything but the main event. the Judah fight I found particularly lame
Texasballer: if you read the article referenced on page one, the head of the PPV department at HBO basically said the exact opposite to what I bolded
"while viewers might express their displeasure over a less-than-compelling undercard, the dramatis personae of the supporting acts is a negligible factor when viewers decide to buy or not to buy a PPV telecast.
"In the end, people who wanted to see Calzaghe-Jones were going to buy the fight no matter who was fighting on the undercard," he said. "And our figures show that viewers who are inclined not to buy a pay-per-view fight aren't going to change their minds based on the undercard, regardless of who is on it."
so basically he's saying he doesn't give a s*it if the undercard sucks or not and that people who wanna see the fight will buy it regardless of the undercard being crappy or great.
if that's the case then I think I'll save my $50 and stick to streaming.Comment
